    No Trespass Please

Lakeside residents Dan and Gloria bought their LOH home new, about 25 years ago. One big reason was there were no fences at the time. Actually no neighbor houses either.

It was understood that open wrought iron fences were permitted as they don’t block lake viewing.

They previously lived in a Plano neighborhood with 8 foot high wood board fencing. It was like living in “Fort Apache”. Not seeing or knowing their neighbors.

The lake has always been “Private Property”. Not owned or supported by city, county or state taxes. All Lakes of Hillcrest HOA members have access, but have no access right-of-way through private home property boundaries facing on the lake.

Several public points of access are available for off-lake HOA resident access. Originally open, they are now gated and fenced. Overuse and abuse of private home lake front property and the lake resources and wildlife abuse by non-residents is the reason.

This has prompted children and adult non HOA populace to trespass through private, unfenced residential properties to gain unauthorized lake access.

After 25 years resisting fencing their property, Dan and Gloria have now erected these signs and are planning iron fence installation. Loss of the freedom that prompted their original purchase.

All because of the total civil ignorance and the disrespect of Texas private property laws. It’s not about “Knowing your rights” A great many trespassers obviously don’t know the law.

This is an example for a Community Forum and Newsletter Site for the residential community in Frisco Texas known as “LAKES of HILLCREST

The purpose and vision of this website is to primarily be an internet-based newsletter for the residents of the community. NOT directly tied or reporting to the governing HOA (Home Owners Association) of Lakes of Hillcrest.

Also a Community Forum is provided for all homeowners to freely share information on topics of common interest in a “group chat” style. The forum is moderated to maintain a friendly and open content.

Kinda clumsy, but just click on it! <G>
